Sun Damage

This is a picture of a man from Canada who was a truck driver for 28 years and has damaged skin on one side of his face. This shows the effects of sun damage that comes through windows to the skin. The province he was in did not allow window film to be installed on the driver and passenger windows at the time, his photo is actually helping to change the window tinting laws in many places.

Sun exposure through un-tinted vehicle windows, which do not filter UVA rays, has been linked to an increased risk of skin cancer. A study in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology shows that more skin cancer cases involved the left arm and left side of the face.
